On Wednesday, September 24 will open at noon the sixth edition of the International Tourism Fair in Ecuador-FITE 2008 - to be held at the Centro de Convenciones de Guayaquil Simón Bolívar until September 27, International Day of Tourism.
 
The fair, as every year brings the most important new tourism products, tour packages, exchange of business, academic programs and an extensive display of music, color and habits of all the provinces and the national stands of the invited countries.
 
Dukers Foundation, agreed through an agreement with the organization of the event, providing support in the direction of the delegations that came to the FITE and provide its members with volunteer support and coaching in the tours for international guests from more than 15 countries to discover the beauty of Guayaquil along with them.
 
The Dukers also have an information stand for its activities, events and goals to accomplish.

The next Saturday 06 September at the Auditorium of the Municipal Museum will be held the event called Confraternity ll MEETING OF DUKERS show where all the various activities and achievements, as well as the objective of the NGO.
 
The event seeks to create bonds of friendship among all current and aspiring members, as well as Guayaquil invite to join our program, at the surrender dukers appreciation to members who have supported this initiative since its inception more than a years, as also handed out diplomas to students of Hotel and Tourism Universities FACS, and CATOLICA ESPOL, which offered its support in the event called First Friends World Travelers, which took place on 18, 19 and July 20 happened in our city of Guayaquil.

Traveling is one of the most common desires of those adventurous souls who are eager to learn and every corner of the planet. The mere idea of breaking with the routine and changing environment that motivates many people, with a backpack filled with what is necessary to survive and a few dollars in their pockets, to undertake exciting journeys.
 
These daring and outgoing passengers are known as "backpackers" and see if they can pass through the cities of our beautiful country.

The need for someone to shop with your hand and guide the visitor who arrives at an unknown location is what prompted in 1992 to Lynn Brooks, a backpacker from New York to start the project "A friend in the city."
 
The U.S. traveled the world and were always in the same predicament.

5 years ago, the Ecuadorian Douglas Reyes was casual traveler and one of his many journeys far land ranches, where by chance learned of the existence of the Cicerone. After making contact with various members of this association was soaked on the matter and returned to Ecuador with the idea of this project in the city of Guayaquil.
 
Reyes introduced the plan "A friend in the City" to the City of Buenos Aires and began to crystallize after several months.
